LG 8500 Chocolate Phone

You would think a gadget like this would be released around Valentines day, but i guess the people over in Verizon’s marketing department just don’t have a clue. Never-the-less the new LG 8500 Chocolate Phone (no its not really made out of chocolate, and yes people have asked that) is one sexy looking gadget. Featuring a built in MP3 player, a touch button interface, a 1.3 megapixel camera and bluetooth support the LG 8500 retails for $249 with a one year contract. The phone is a bit more pricey than a candy bar, but at least it wont melt.

Sony HDR-SR1 HD Camcorder

Recently we’ve been looking for a good HD-quality camcorder, and we found this little beauty over at Uncrate.  The Sony HDR-SR1 HD Camcorder records video in true 1080i and features a built-in 30 GB hard drive.  You can view what your filming on a bright 3.5" LCD screen and can also take 4 megapixel still shots.  The HDR-SR1 HD has a recommended shelf price of $1500.  You can check out the official press release here.

Pioneer Ships PRO-FHD1 50″ Plasma Screen

The PRO-FHD1 introduced by Pioneer at CES earlier this year is finally shipping.  This huge Plasma TV boasts a resolution of 1080p to meet the demands of next gen high definition video.  The PRO-FHD1 has 2,073,600-Pixels (Full 1920 x 1080) and also uses worlds smallest plasma pixels, which were developed by Pioneer specifically for this TV.  The only downside of the PRO-FHD1 is the price, a jaw dropping $10,000. Sony launches Micro Vault Tiny Drives

Measuring in at about twice the size of a thumbnail and weighing in at only 2.4mm, Sony’s new Micro Vault Drives offer an extremely small and surprisingly durable solution to portable data storage. The minuscule drives have varying storage capacities ranging from 256mb up to 2gb. Launched in the far east markets earlier this year, Micro Vault Drives have now been released in Europe. They maintain the simplicity of any USB device, essentially just plug-and-play hardware, however their small size enables them to fit anywhere on the go. Each drive also contains preloaded compression software that automatically compresses data being written to enabling it to hold three times the amount of information.
