Sony launches Micro Vault Tiny Drives

1.jpg

Measuring in at about twice the size of a thumbnail and weighing in at only 2.4mm, Sony’s new Micro Vault Drives offer an extremely small and surprisingly durable solution to portable data storage. The minuscule drives have varying storage capacities ranging from 256mb up to 2gb. Launched in the far east markets earlier this year, Micro Vault Drives have now been released in Europe. They maintain the simplicity of any USB device, essentially just plug-and-play hardware, however their small size enables them to fit anywhere on the go. Each drive also contains preloaded compression software that automatically compresses data being written to enabling it to hold three times the amount of information. Each drive also comes with a rubber casing case that is equipped with a clip and strap. via Tech Digest

Sony Micro-vault-tiny drives…..Understand that its compression technology does not support video files ….ie any video files loaded into it will not play even after extracting to other hard disk.
