10 Ways to Make Money From Your Website or Blog

1. Google Adsense
Probably the most popular ad program out there, Adsense offers even the smallest websites and publishers an opportunity to make some cash. Adsense is quick and easy to implement - You sign up and then paste a few lines of html code onto your site. Adsense they automatically finds and displays relevant ads to your sites content. Most ads are ppc or Pay Per Click however some pay you per thousand impressions. A valuable tip for Adsense is make sure to make the ads blend in well with your site. Making them goofy colors to stand out has been proven to hurt your ctr (click through rate).
2. Chitika E-Minimalls - Highly Recommended
Another great way to make money that i STRONGLY recommend for your website or blog is Chitika Minimalls. Chitika is also a pay per click program, however it is more graphical and i have personally found that it tends to pay out more per click than Adsense in most cases.
3. Amazon.com
Amazon is different than Chitika and Google, you get paid a percentage of the sales you refer to the Amazon website. This can work well for sites that target a specific product or industry such as gadgets, or college sites because of books.
4. Yahoo Publishers Network
Yahoo has started an advertising program similar to Google’s Adsense. You get paid per click, however people are reporting that the payout is higher than Google. I have not tried out YPN yet so i cant confirm this. (Note: YPN is still in beta however they still seem to be accepting new applicants)
5. Ebay (Commision Junction)
Ebay runs a very successful affiliate program that pays up to 70% commission on eBay Revenue. The program uses banner and text advertisements for products relating to your websites content. If the person you refer signs up for Ebay, you also get paid.
6. Affiliate Networks
Affiliate networks work similar to amazon, you usually get paid a fixed amount every time someone signs up for a product or subscribes to a newsletter. The payout for affiliate networks can range anywhere from $1-$20 a sign up.
7. Linkshare
Linkshare pays you a percentage of the sales your site generates. The advantage of Linkshare however is that you can choose which publisher you want to show ads for. Some publishers include Walmart and Overstock.com
8. Sell Pixels
Selling pixel space on your website seems to be the hot new thing every since the sucess of The Million Dollar Homepage. More and more pixel programs popup on sites every day.
9. Blogads.com
Blogads.com was launched in 2002 and is growing more popular everyday in the blogging world. I personally havent had a chance to try this one out, however i hear so much about it daily i had to include it in the list.
10. Paypal Donation Button
If you run a charitable website or something along those lines ads may not be for you. You can always sign up for a paypal account and place a donation button on your site. I have used them in the past numerous times and as long as you run a quality website people tend to be a lot more generous than you would think.

How about Text Link Ads and Adbrite?
My site don’t do much from Chitika because many of my visitors are from unsupported countries. Even if they click on the ads, Chitika will not count it.
